Music and form meld as a piece of stone takes artistic form. Something inorganic is transformed into something humanistic, having rhythm and movement all its own. Beauty, religion, and feminism become satirical studies in stone, a reflection of the artist’s sense of humor and purpose. Raphael’s sculptures take inspiration from the human form; classical figures which are very much a part of contemporary society.
