Steven Weinberg


Much of my recent work derives from nine months I spent in Mali, West Africa, last year. From initial works done in country such as, graphite drawings, oil paintings, photographs, and also from my memory, I have been reconstructing those times and places through various media, also working as an illustrator and cartoonist.

For much of 2007 I was living in Mali working on my most recent work; for the latter half of 2006 I was living and working in Beijing, China as an illustrator and teacher; I spent the fall of 2004 studying in Rabat, Morocco. Besides these long stays abroad I have traveled extensively through much of Western and Central Europe as well as Southeast Asia
