Robert C. Jackson

Robert C. Jackson, born in Kinston, NC, graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1986 and worked as a systems engineer designing radio systems for Motorola for the next five years.  He left engineering to work as an assistant pastor in Spencerville, MD, and then began painting full time in 1997.  His contemporary realist paintings explore life’s drama using inanimate objects as actors, and he is attracted by the idea of whether fun and somewhat humorous work can stir the soul rather than allowing dark somber works to hold that exclusive copyright.  Jackson has exhibited in solo and groups shows at museums and galleries in New York, Boston, Denver, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Scottsdale, Washington DC and other major cities.
