What Remains: The American Landscape
Portfolio of Limited-Edition Prints Reception at Zenith Gallery in
Washington DC Tuesday, April 22, Earth Day, 6:30-8:30 pm
Washington, DC –
April 9, 2008 - When renowned landscape artist Bradley Stevens
painted our country’s natural treasures for his What Remains: The
American Landscape exhibit at Zenith Gallery last summer, he wanted
to call attention to the dramatic beauty of our endangered environment,
and inspire action to preserve America’s resources. Sharing Stevens’s
enthusiasm, Margery E. Goldberg, founder of The Zenith Community Arts
Foundation (ZCAF), has teamed up with Stevens and The Trust for Public
Land (TPL) in a unique partnership to produce a special limited-edition
portfolio of Giclée prints of Stevens’s paintings to support TPL’s
conservation efforts. TPL is the first beneficiary

Food Glorious Food III
DIVERSITY:
THINK GLOBALLY.
EAT LOCALLY.Now
in its third year, the Food Glorious Food Show serves up an
eclectic menu of paintings, sculpture and photographs depicting food
in all its fabulous forms. Cooked up by Zenith Gallery, the Zenith
Community Arts Foundation (ZCAF) and the Capital Area Food Bank, the
show’s mix of food, art and charity is a recipe that pleases the
palates of art patrons and food aficionados, while raising money for
the food bank through the sale of original art, a calendar
showcasing pieces from the show, Giclée prints of select art from
the calendar and a charity event.
The calendar is available for a minimum donation of $15 at the locations
listed below, with all proceeds going to the food bank.

Freedom Place Collection

Zenith Community Arts Foundation ZCAF
The prominent artists whose work is represented in The Freedom Place
Collection are separated artistically by the individuality of their
creativity and process, yet linked by the African-American experience and
heritage, a powerful wellspring of inspiration that has uniquely nurtured
and enriched their art. Featured artists are Benny Andrews, Romare Bearden,
Robert Freeman, Alma Thomas and Richard Yarde
The Freedom Place
Collection
is owned by Washington residents Stuart Bloch and Ambassador Julia Chang
Bloch, who started collecting African-American Artists 35 years ago while
living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Bloch's are sponsoring the
ZCAF exhibition.
