Art Appraisal Methods and Procedures

With each art appraisal I provide, photo documentation of the artwork, comment on the artwork, comparable auction house and retail gallery values, and when available, a short biography on the artist. 

I compare every aspect of your item to others similar in nature. I use data from worldwide sources that are regularly and consistently updated to reflect the current market sales activities for thousands of different artists.  I consider all aspects of the item to be appraised, including size, condition, importance, scarcity, and aesthetic appearance. Every appraised item is carefully evaluated based on comparability, similarity, and differences with those in the domestic and international markets to arrive at the most accurate value opinion.

Evaluation and value are based on the highest appraisal standards, thorough and diligent research and careful analysis of the facts. I adhere to all, International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Report Writing Standards and Code of Ethics.
