Josephine DeCioccio Beebe

Born in Portchester, NY, 1955. Studied commercial and fine art at the Universtiy of Farmingdale, NY and the College of New Rochelle, NY. One year study at the Arts Students League, NY followed by three years of training in the Frank Reilly method of drawing and painting under Ceaser Borgia at the Reilly League of Artists, White Plains, NY. After relocating to Annapolis, MD, continued intensive three year portrait and figure study with renowned portrait artist, Cedric Egeli. "Drawing and color, design and emotion are the essential elements which I seek to create my art. I am strongly rooted in traditional ideas and methods of the past, yet firmly committed to the thoughts and feelings which surround me in the modern world. The finest skills combined with a clear artistic vision are the two forces which I strive to bring together".

1984-Present Commissioned portrait artist, figurative and still life painter. 1984- Present Teaching classes in academic drawing and painting for young people and adults, along with private tutoring.
