Mason Archie

Mason was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and currently lives in Indianapolis Indiana. His early creative experience came while working as art director and pictorial artist at Lamar Advertising. He turned to his sights to full-time fine art painting in 2005. And almost instantly reached success pursuing traditional realism, using the quality materials and techniques he learned through the intensive study of the craft of its masters. Archie’s works has been exhibited at the Schuster Art Center, Indiana State Museum, Charles H. Wright Museum, The African American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce Ohio, and The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. He has also been feature in the International Review of African American Art, American Art Collector, and The American Art Review. He was the 2007 recipient of the Creative Renewal Fellowship from The Art Council of Indianapolis/Lily Endowment and a perennial award winner from 2007 -2009 in the Hoosier Salon’s Annual Juried Exhibit, one of the oldest competitions in the country. His works are in the collections of The Indiana State Museum, The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American Art, Nationwide Corporation, Wells Fargo, Elanco, a division of Eli Lily, Eskenazi Health, Community South Hospital, and a host of private collection around the country. He is affiliated with the Oil Painters of America, the Hoosier Salon Patron Association, the Portrait Society of America and the African American Visual Artist Guild. Today, Archie exhibits and sells his work all over the country.
