Ron Schwerin is a painter of young female nudes and sensual still lives. Awarded the Prix de Rome in 1963, he went on to teach at his alma mater, Pratt Institute, as well as the New York Institute of Technology and the University of Rhode Island. He has exhibited in group and one man shows at galleries including Allan Stone and O.K. Harris in New York and Zenith in Washington, D.C. In addition to teaching and painting, Schwerin worked as a freelance photographer for 20 years, until 1988. His contemporary realist paintings include still-life, figurative and portrait work.
